Thanks for sharing your idea with us

This high impact communication campaign will unfold through your personal stories about the rapid advances taking place in top research institutions, hospitals, and neighborhood Do It Yourself (DIY) labs. We are excited to review your idea and we’ll get in contact with you soon to discuss it!

Ideally, your content idea might be a great story about;

  • The people, personalities, and excitement surrounding new discoveries at the frontlines of the genomic revolution
  • Fun footage that explains how that discovery works
  • Thoughtful commentary on the implications to society
  • Anything else that is interesting!

How will the public see this?

In Phase I, our collaborative online video platform will invite collaborators (you!) in the United States and China to upload their stories related to genetic engineering into a web experience. This technology (being developed for this project) will make these clips available to a wider audience for watching, mixing into a personal film, and sharing. This means you can explore anyone’s content, find stuff you want to insert into your own clips, and then share that film with anyone you want. In Phase II, we will engage a broader social media audience to come to the site and explore all of these stories, mix, and share. They may not be able to upload, so this means your content will be the material in their shared film.

Code of the Wild is seeking private, government, business, academic and other organizations to collaboratively raise awareness of content. Do you have any suggestions on how to get the word out?

What happens next

First, we will be in contact with you to discuss your idea. If it is time sensitive, we may get you started early. Filming content for the platform is a little different than normal and we want to explain that to you. The platform will launch in spring of 2019 and we’ll let you know when you can upload your videos.
